Workpackages

Design and work packages

Design and work packages (WPs) of P4CARE are outlined in Figure 1. WPs are dedicated to specific tasks aiming to build an evidence based cost-effective scalable solution for nationwide implementation of a PGx-passport for patients with mood and anxiety disorders in primary care.

WP-1: Infrastructuur
(Dr Maja Matic – Erasmus MC)
This WP creates the project infrastructure for ordering (ZorgDomein), reporting, data exchange (Nictiz, NedXIs), harmonization of testing, and FAIR-based data exchange.
WP1 will also ensure alignment with current clinical practice thereby stimulating feasibility of the P4CARE study.

WP-2: P4Care study
(Prof Dr Jesse Swen – LUMC)
This project runs the P4CARE study, a stepped-wedge implementation study using an innovative approach focused on implementation in primary care by PharmacoTherapeutic Audit Meetings (PTAM) groups.

WP-3: Implementation
(Prof Dr Martina Cornel – Amsterdam UMC)
This project executes implementation research involving all stakeholders in every phase of the project resulting in a multidisciplinary roadmap for post project implementation.

WP4- WP6

WP-4: Health Economics
(Prof Dr Maureen Rutten-van Molken – Erasmus Universiteit)
This focusses on the health economic analysis of introducing a DNA-passport for medication in first line care for depression.

WP-5: Education & Dissemination
(Prof Dr Ron HN van Schaik – Erasmus MC)
This  WP addresses the education of primary care physicians and dissemination of knowledge both for healthcare professionals as well as patients.

WP-6: Project coordination
Dr Maaike van der lee – LUMC
This WP executes project coordination. The P4CARE structured approach may serve as a blueprint for PGx implementation for other diseases.
